The Minneapolis Redistricting Commission will hold a public hearing Thursday, April 11 at 6:00 p.m. to hear testimony on the ward plan proposed by the Redistricting Commission. The meeting, which will be held in City Council Chamber (Room 317, City Hall), will be broadcast live on City cable channels 14 and 71. It will be rebroadcast the following Monday, April 15, and Friday, April 19 after the Council meeting.
The Redistricting Commission is scheduled to approve a final plan on Friday April 12, 2002 at a noon meeting in Room 220, City Hall. By law, the new lines go into effect on September 10, 2002, the day of the state primary. View the proposed plan at www.ci.minneapolis.mn.us/redistricting.
