French Meadow would get my vote! One of my brothers used to be a chef out east and they actually brought in some of French Meadow's products on a regular basis by air. As a vegan, I love the fact that I can go there with my dairy cream loving friends and we can all leave happy as they always have a wide variety of vegan cookies, muffins, cakes, bars, and other sweets mixed in with their other products. Among other baked goods(not sweet), I am a huge fan of Holy Land's(Central NE) garlic afghan bread and zatar(sp) bread. Both are great with humus and other traditional middle eastern dips and spreads. The new bakery at the Wedge also deserves kudos for their excellent sourdough sliced loaves both wheat and white. The best nut butter and jelly/jam sandwiches I've ever had use this new bread. Also, the Vegan German Chocolate Cake at the Wedge is truly fantastic. Well now you all probably know why I am not as skinny(fit) as many of the vegan folk out there! David Strand Loring Park __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo!
