I heard this discussed on KSTP AM last Saturday -- around the middle of the day I believe -- and it wasn't by especially conservative hosts. CM Barb Johnson called in and weighed in on the subject -- and she said she heard about the buyout through the media.
I listen to Jason Lewis regularly -- and I have not heard him talk about this. He has talked about the Biernat situation many times. >I've heard that several conservative radio talk show >hosts where urging their listeners to call their city >councilmembers to speak out against buying out Olson's >contract-even providing the numbers to call on the >air. There's similar stuff being done to generate email to the Governor regarding the Judith Levine book -- that is clearly coming from out of state. I'm curious whether council offices are keeping track of where the callers live when they call. That's a question I don't have the answer to -- I assume they would keep track -- and I assume the Mayor's Office would keep track. As far as whether conservative talk show audiences are more representative than this list -- I'd say both samples of people are going to be biased. I think this list allows for much more discussion than a typical talk radio program -- just because the Talk Show host can control the dialog alot -- although, once you call several times to a specific host, you can learn to get your point accross. I certainly have been able to do that when I've talked to Jason Lewis. >Could someone who is a listener to conservative talk >radio confirm whether this issue was raised there over >the last couple of weeks? > >I have not listened to conservative talk radio since >having a boss who played Patriot Radio all day every >day, loud and clear, in the office. Well David, I'd suggest you listen a bit to different talk show programs before painting them with such a broad brush. For example, I would suppose many liberals would agree with Jason Lewis 100% on stadium boondoggles.
