I'd like to invite everyone who wants to support the idea of cyclists as transportation to come out with us tomorrow. Critical mass is defined by where you stand. As someone said to me not long ago everyday cars get to have their critical mass, but because we/ they are in route to build the economy it's not just justifiable, but encouraged. We are not taking over, but we are here and sometimes usually the only time we get noticed is if we are either exercising our rights on the road, or acting in unison as traffic, because we are slower does not mean we are breaking the law. But I don't expect our opponents to see it that way. The really good thing is we are talking about this with some maturity, well, almost everyone. To the rigid motorist who will not compromise, the sun is setting on the car culture, sorry. It may not look that way to the "great car herds that I ride with everyday, but you seem more like dinosaurs than anything. The change that I see taking place, and more importantly the change I see that wants to take place is eye opening even for me. Between bikes, buses, light rail, roller blades and the increase in density and the continued assault on our natural and mental environment, the car will be rethought. Contrary to the police, we are not the enemy. We just want to move people in a better way. yes, biking is better than cars. At highway 55, I rest my case. One more thing...Free Leonard Peltier!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
