The Minnesota Daily reported Dean Zimmermann's participation in the Critical Mass ride, which is very nice of him to do, but quoted Mr. Zimmermann as saying that he wants to "look at converting a few streets to bike-only thoroughfares, similar to 19th Avenue on the West Bank."
(That's a quotation from the Daily, not direct from Zimmermann) 19th is the 10th Ave. Bridge connection. The streets are Johnson NE which becomes 10th Ave. SE, which becomes 19th Ave. South. This has never been a bike only street. I'm curious: what did the man mean when he said it? 19th Ave. South is the only 19th-anything that is close to the West Bank, so--huh? Emilie Quast SE Como, but works ON 19th Ave. South _______________________________________ Minneapolis Issues Forum - A Civil City Civic Discussion - Mn E-Democracy Post messages to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subscribe, Unsubscribe, Digest option, and more: http://e-democracy.org/mpls
