We need to stop polluting our parks with fluorescent orange plastic
fencing. The use of such fences eliminates the green space experience and
makes park land unusable for many of those wishing to encounter nature. If
our parks are not green spaces, then what can fill this need? Must MPLS
citizens leave the city limits to experience nature?
It seems an unwise to so restrict our natural resources. It seems equally
poor stewardship by our park board to make park areas less viable for
humans, even if it serves to ultimately restore native plant species.
Incidentally, I assume the plants would prefer natural color fencing anyway.
