The other day I wrote a passionate description of
things I had lived through when my end of Whittier was
"crack alley".

I felt badly ever since that I made it appear that the
police did nothing to help us deal with the drug
problem. Although I received no help in dealing with
the burglary of my house, I would like to state that
without the help of the 5th precinct CRT team then
called the CAT team we would have never succeeded at
cleaning this area up.

Commander Brad Johnson and officers like Lt. Kris
Arneson, Sgt. Charlie Adams, Adam Grobove, Lynn
Mavison, former officer Bob Kappers and many others
helped us immensely in our struggle. In fact, there
were many mornings I would cry on the phone to these
people recounting the details of the night before.
This group responded very well to our concerns and
reports of crime. We truly built a partnership in
this struggle.

I just needed to give credit where credit was due.

it's the only thing that ever has." -- Margaret Mead
