Come on, Greg...address the issue of the rest of Minneapolis shutting out supportive facilities COMPLETELY. There are 13 supportive housing facilities within three blocks of my house. There is a 90+ bed detox center a block from my house. Most of the storefronts in my neighborhood are owned and run by social services. Do some basic research into concentration of services and poverty and tell me what you find...check out David Rusk. There is much available online. You actually opposed the rehab 1818 Park, a former drug haven. You created grief and misery for the new owners who now offer safe, affordable housing to many families. What was your motivation? Please stop condemning neighbors and neighborhoods like mine. Yes, poverty is bad. It is no stretch to realize that concentrating it makes it and its condition worse. Your number-crunching is irrelevant on the street. Here's an idea: move to Kenwood and bring your poverty-utopia with you.
