Here's an interesting article from the May 2002 Washington Monthly on the "Rise of the Creative Class". Mpls comes in tied for 10th place on the "Creativity Index". Quotes such as ".....city after city can generate the political capital to underwrite hundreds of millions of dollars of investments in professional sports stadiums. And you know what? They don't matter to the creative class" make this a very topical read.
