Subject: Bicycle registration: if you don't have proof of ownership--

Here's a supplement to the message about bicycle registration from Phyllis
Kahn, what to do if you don't have proof of ownership.

I am very pleased that this action to register bicycles is happening. I
would urge all to participate. One reason is that it is required in
Minneapolis and some other cities. One note, while it's good to have
proof of ownership (a sales receipt), it's not necessary. A space on
the form lets you say no proof available. You need to know the number of
gears and the size of the wheel. The serial number is usually imprinted
under the bottom bracket.
