Perhaps Jennifer will give us a URL to access detailed planning information about this so that we might be able to intelligently address how well we think that spending 20% more than the Hiawatha lrt cost to link the two downtowns.
Two newspaper puff pieces don't cut it. The meeting is six days away. No maintenance yard to build, only a tunnel under Washington instead of a tunnel under a mile or more of the airport. Any bridges? Two on the Hiawatha... And still $840 million for trains? I'll pull out the met council predictions that "the next two" lrt lines could be built for $440 million (was it each or for both, memory says both?) The usual nonsense about choice riders and how easy it is to expand train service. I'll post some research about busways and how much more ridership they can carry than is predicted for this line.
