Folks, this is a well-intentioned thread but it’s no longer Minneapolis-specific. State-level stuff is for another list. Let’s stick to what can be done at the city level.

Iowa does have Caucuses. Their system is very similar to ours, except their primary is the first Tuesday in June.  Iowa a major Presidential player because it has the distinction of being the state with the earliest caucus (first week in February). Candidates go there and New Hampshire (earliest primary in the nation) to kick start some MOEmentum for the rest of the nation to witness, and hopefully buy into.
