Unfortunately, I have to disagree, like all things, times change, besides, someone who
doesn't care about how he lives, who he hurts or gives a darn about his or anyones
elses life, will surely not give a heck when someone is giving or showing love.
Besides, if history has shown nor has it changed much, those who choose not to fight
back ends up getting hurt or worse.

If I have a chance of surviving by fighting back, then I would surely do just that, be
it to protect myself or those who I love.

My question is then, if the person who kill MLK was shown love, would he have not done
what he did? Maybe or maybe not. If MLK would have done the above mentioned would he
be here today? Maybe or maybe not.

When a person is determined, you can't change them. However, just to say, I'm not
saying your wrong.

This is from a sermon by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on Nov. 6, 1956 in
Montgomery, Alabama -

"As you press on for justice, be sure to move with dignity and discipline,
using only the weapon of love. Let no man pull you so low as to hate him.
Always avoid violence. If you succumb to the temptation of using violence
in your struggle, unborn generations will be the recipients of a long and
desolate night of bitterness, and your chief legacy to the future will be an
endless reign of meaningless chaos.

I think this about says it all. Sorry Jim, I don't agree with you....at
all.

There has to be a better way. - Jana Metge, Phillips resident; Crime Victim
