Conor, that's a good idea. We could have a "league of our own" so to speak.
It would help get grown men and women out of the house, and get America fit.
The healthcare industry is killing us in itself, so we need to get healthy
while we can. We can return baseball to what it was originally intended to
be - a national way to "pass time."

Then perhaps, also, parents won't put so much pressure on their children to
be superstars and the children can actually relax and enjoy the game that
they are playing. They can develop a love for the game itself, not a love
to please the parent because winning is everything to them.

Then, by the time baseball teams become profitable again, we will have some
really good players who have evolved from our young people, who we would
enjoy watching as they enjoy playing the game. And having a team and/or a
new stadium may be something we would consider.

Annie's final thoughts on baseball made me kinda sad. I too am gonna miss
this game when its
gone from here. I also noticed in the paper today that Selig is predicting
several teams could
fold under debt even before the end of this season?!?! We need and
alternative. I want baseball
in Minneapolis. I want to PLAY baseball in MPLS. Could the park board
organize adult baseball
summer leagues in Minneapolis? With the Mpls Parkboard Fall Classic at
Parade sometime in
October. Casual, non-competitive, just for fun, a tie is OK kinda league?
One night a week
maybe, I could make time for that, I think.
