Federal meditator in Minneapolis assesses racial tension

A senior mediator with the U.S. Department of 
Justice said that a Saturday morning meeting 
with Minneapolis leaders went well and that 
she was asked to return to Minneapolis on T
hursday to continue discussing her assessment 
of racial and ethnic tensions in the city.

Patricia Campbell Glenn said she came to 
Minneapolis on Friday morning on her own 
initiative following a disturbance that began 
after 11-year-old Julius Powell was injured 
during a police shooting at 26th and 
Knox Avs. N.
