I would ditto what David is saying about the paid staff of public vs. private schools. I know from personal experience that teachers in the private schools get paid very low salaries. Additionally, public school teachers are forced to be more educated in the field, not that it necessarily makes for a better teacher, however, they have to prove themselves to get teaching licensure. Private schools are not so picky...
