All parties that were attacked are certainly within their rights to demand a response from the parties who said they weren't talked to. A community summit on journalists and communities, specifically communities of color, would be very interesting. Since September 11, different media outlets have posed the question, "Why do they hate us?" This same question could be asked by the media regarding communities of color. I am not saying this to belittle what you went through...you probably didn't expect to serve in a war zone so close to home. But examining the question "Why do they hate us?" may lead to solutions and a healed relationship between the media and communities of color.
