I can only speak for myself as a commuting cyclist, not for most bikers, but I'd prefer to ride with, in, and as traffic. I don't care much for bike lanes. They don't go where I want to, peter out without warning sometimes near intersections, and provide no more safety than a wide outside lane. I'm not actively anti-bike lane, but I usually feel more comfortable and more visible in the flow of traffic rather than separated from it. -- Dan (Camden) -- Dan Cosley ([EMAIL PROTECTED] * http://www.cs.umn.edu/~cosley/ * 612.522.TUBA) GroupLens Research Lab, Univ of MN (http://movielens.umn.edu/ * 612.624.8372) *** When the barber asks a question, DON'T nod your head *** _______________________________________ Minneapolis Issues Forum - A Civil City Civic Discussion - Mn E-Democracy Post messages to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subscribe, Unsubscribe, Digest option, and more: http://e-democracy.org/mpls
