I can only speak for myself as a commuting cyclist, not for most
bikers, but I'd prefer to ride with, in, and as traffic. I don't
care much for bike lanes. They don't go where I want to, peter out
without warning sometimes near intersections, and provide no more
safety than a wide outside lane. I'm not actively anti-bike lane,
but I usually feel more comfortable and more visible in the flow
of traffic rather than separated from it.
