Here are things you can do about speeders on your block:
*Figure out the times of the day and days the speeders are at their worst.
*Using neighborhood money under NRP or whatever other money pots you 
have, get speed tables installed. (This takes a while so in the meantime...
*Watch for repeat offenders and turn their license plate numbers and car 
descriptions over to your CCP/SAFE team.
*Do this in concert with your neighbors or block club, you'll get more 
bang for the effort expended.
*Flag 'em down and tell them what you're doing and why--with your 
neighbors, not alone.
*With your kids, figure out the safer routes to and from where they go. 
Then use them.

Sadly, they can't be everywhere at the same time. But your effort will 
work better in the long run.
