Here are things you can do about speeders on your block: *Figure out the times of the day and days the speeders are at their worst. *Using neighborhood money under NRP or whatever other money pots you have, get speed tables installed. (This takes a while so in the meantime... *Watch for repeat offenders and turn their license plate numbers and car descriptions over to your CCP/SAFE team. *Do this in concert with your neighbors or block club, you'll get more bang for the effort expended. *Flag 'em down and tell them what you're doing and why--with your neighbors, not alone. *With your kids, figure out the safer routes to and from where they go. Then use them.
