         Sure, Jason.  Now tell us how bikers are going to raise the money 
to pay for these bike/ped only streets.  From the bike license money?  (You 
do have one, right?) That $3/year will not go very far to cover the costs 
of this.
         And pedestrian-only streets?  I thought we had them already -- 
they're called sidewalks.  (And are paid for by the owners of the property, 
not the pedestrians who walk on them.)

         Like most other things, this follows the real life golden rule: 
"them that pays the gold make the rules".  Automobiles & their drivers pay 
the majority of the costs for our transportation 'system', so it's built 
mainly for their needs.  In a business, that's called serving your customer.
