>Neal Levine >Whittier >I remember our Mayor campaigning with an air freshener claiming it was time >to clean up city government. This would strike me as a wonderful opportunity >for the Mayor to have his deeds match his words and use his bully pulpit in >the fashion he promised. Or does the breath of fresh air need a mint?
A mint? I don't think there are enough breath mints to cover the smell our Mayor has been making. Or maybe it is the whirring sound of him spinning. Remember "no government involvement in a stadium"? WHIRR... The first week in office he ran over to the Legislature telling them that a government funded stadium was one of his highest priorities. Of course, then WHIRR... he was denying he said this when confronted by us citizens. Remember how concerned he was when that Somoli guy with the machette was shot? His great concern about police accountability? What did he do? WHIRR.. He cut the Civilian Police Review. Or how about Mr. Affordable housing WHIRR... making up numbers so he looks like he has actually done something on this issue. He got caught on that one too. He brings a bunch of consultants in to clean up the MCDA and WHIRR... when you read the stuff, it is all about hamstringing the things that the City does that protects us citizens. R.T.
