I recall a couple of postings regarding a "Fried Green Tomato Cook-off". I deleted these because I am on a strict Macrobiotic diet and can't eat tomatoes, due to them being a nightshade. However, I have a friend who would be happy to donate some green tomatoes to the cause, so please advise me off list if this is desired and where we need to get them. I am bummed I can't participate in this event - I love fried green tomatoes and have always wanted to try my hand at making them.
