A fact about garages... If you have a garage attached to your house, rather than a detached one, your insurance is higher. I believe the reason for that is because if your house burns and/or blows up, etc., there is more chance of your garage and car doing the same so the insurance payout for damages is higher. A detached one allows you to possibly save the house and/or the garage/car on its own.
