Eva,
You and some other people just can't understand that Duane caucused with the DFL, got elected a DFL Delegate, attended the DFL 58 convention (this year) and supported Keith. I understand being an "independent" but when did this sudden streak of political affliliation independence begin? When he decided that he wanted to run and it was after the endorsing convention? Why run as what you affiliate yourself as when if you run as an independent, you can stay in the race until November? No primary elimination in September, just cruise to November.
I'm ccing this to Duane Reed, and I hope he will answer this one directly.

This race is not the Natalie/Jackie race again - much as you'd like to try and make it that. The reference to Al McFarlane being a supporter of Jackie (ever!) is simply not true.
I did not say that Al McFarlane supported Jackie. I can see where you drew that inference, but I did not say that -- and didn't intend to say that. Bill English certainly was a big Jackie Cherryhomes supporter.

You must be new to the Northside, because you would have noticed that Keith is being supported by some Natalie Johnson-Lee supporters as well as Jackie Cherryhomes and some of hers.
True, I am new to the Northside. I just moved in over here. There is a list called the "Northside Information Exchange", but the list is a separatist list -- open to African Americans only.

That could be true, but I understand that Johnson Lee has endorsed Duane Reed. I'm not talking about Johnson Lee's supporters.

That speaks in volumes of the kind of bridges that Ellison can build as well as the cross community support has has.
With Duane gaining support from PRAC (like Johnson-Lee), maybe he should listen to his own words, "In the year 2002 some of our own people have been hoodwinked, tricked or paid into allowing a partisan party to control the destiny of our community representation."
PRAC isn't a political party. I happen to know Eve White from PRAC and have alot of respect for her. I have called Keith Ellison and left a message to ask him some questions. If he's not going to bother to call me back, then I'll know that he won't call me back after getting elected.
