The topics on the Minneapolis Forum have been pretty heavy lately and I just wanted to let people know that there are things in the City that do make one smile.
I was just driving along Minnehaha Parkway and at Portland Avenue (south side of the Creek) this is a wonderful large bronze sculpture of a rabbit. I don't know where it came from Park Board? Neighbor? or alien? But it did make me slow down and smile. So in spite of the war talk on the car radio, just having paid $1.65 for a gallon of gas, and loads of political ads that add nothing to the debate - I found something today to like. Does anyone know where the rabbit came from? And if there is one, are there more? Come on, Minneapolis, let's not let St. Paul get ahead with the Peanuts and Lucy statues. Can't we have something that will highlight the artistic talent that resides here?
