Hi, all: I'm glad you like the bunny, Jan. As best as I recall, the rabbit is the offspring of a Gateway Arts grant awarded to HPDL about two years ago. A competition was held to choose the best work to welcome people to the neighborhood, and Jeff Barber's rabbit proposal won. (Jeff is a Minnesota artist, but not of the Minneapolis ilk.) This should be the only rabbit of its kind, unless Jeff chooses to allow copies to be made.
The rabbit should receive its name sometime next month. Jeff has chosen "Cottontail on the Trail," though "Bunnyhaha" sounded good to a few of us. Something tells me "That Rabbit Sculpture" will prevail, just the same.
