We were in Paris this past summer, walking near Notre Dame when what must have been
thousands of roller bladers took over a main city street... there were so many it took
nearly a half hour for the entire parade of skaters to go by. We were told this is an
every Saturday event in Paris... a huge course winds through the city streets and
literally thousands come to skate! a few dozen bicyclists brought up the rear, and
police vehicles followed behind. Since downtown Mpls turns into a virtual ghost town
on most summer weekends, why not start a new, fun, tradition and bring people to town
for a unique outdoor event?

This sounds absolutely fantastic.

I hope we can get an inline skating event into the mix. Maybe something
like the Great River Roll!

I can't wait to ski in the City of Lake Loppet!
