In response to my comments about towing: My point is that the city has an iron-clad, one size-fits-all policy about snow removal and leaf clean up. Except for the snow emergency parking rules, it is usually 7am to 4 pm. They can't be in all neighborhoods at once. I'm sure that there is a schedule for when work begins and is expected to end in individual neighborhoods. All I meant to say is post the individual neighborhood according to the schedule ( and include lots of wiggle room due to unforseen events). That way the residents can adjust their schedules better, and have a better chance of being able to move their cars and find adequate legal parking. It is less disruptive, and it increases the chances that the cars will be moved so that the work can get done and that there will obstructions left for the remainder of the season. It is a question of efficiency. By posting a shorter time that is geared to a schedule, you are making it easier for the public AND you are increasing the chances that the work will be more efficient.
What a novel idea. David Wilson Loring Park _______________________________________ Minneapolis Issues Forum - A City-focused Civic Discussion - Mn E-Democracy Post messages to: mailto:mpls@;mnforum.org Subscribe, Unsubscribe, Digest, and more: http://e-democracy.org/mpls
