I want to echo Barb Nelson's congratulations to the police for catching the rapist without any problems. Too often the police get thrown into the spotlight when something bad happens, or people have assumptions about police behavior that just does not hold up to reality.
The police, fire, rescue, and other emergency responders do their job professionally and effectively a great majority of the time, and they don't receive enough positive recognition for it.
