Last evening, November 12th, I attended the public forum called "Follow the
Money (aka Budgeting 101)" at SW High School. CM Barret Lane (my Council
Member), CM Scott Benson (Ward 11) and Tammy Omdal, Budget Director for the
City were the main presenters.
Thank you for writing about the seminar, and thank you for attending. The property tax explanation is very complicated and I'm glad you made the effort to learn about the system. Thank you for sharing your thoughts about the seminar. It just doesn't do any good to complain about your taxes and how much they have increased if you don't understand how the increase came about.
