There is a definite sense of loss and grief here in lower NE. Last year during the city council campaign when I was working for Shane Price Joe went out of his way to make sure I knew that he did not take it personal that I was working for Shane and that our friendship transcended political differences. I was deeply moved and thankful for those words.
