If my memory serves me right Joe Biernat was the 1st "Northeaster" to occupy the seat since at least the mid or late seventies. Prior to him was Sandra Hillary - Hawthorne, Pat Daugherty - McKinley, Joe Strauss - McKinley. Dick Miller served between Strauss and Daughtery, however I can't remember on which side of the river he lived.
