As of today we have fifteen people running in the third ward, who have or will file for the primary. So I suppose causing some anxiety.... will the "right" dfl'er get endorsed. It goes to show that whoever works the hardest could have the game in hand or not.....I know that the rules are that a candidate must live in the ward thirty days before the election. Shouldn't you have to live in the ward when you file, as if to say, I have a stake, I'm committed to the third ward, win or lose. Frankly, I know, people who have filed or who intend to file who have not been involved in ward three issues. Have not gone to any meetings, do not know the issues, do not know their neighbors...... this is patently absurd. This just seems like more of the same, say or do whatever to get elected and then ignore their constituents. Shouldn't a candidate have lived in the ward longer, like at least six or twelve months? So that if someone like myself ran I would not be completely over shadowed by every tom, dick, and harry from the metro area? If I was thinking at all about entering the race the very idea of being lost among fourteen other candidates is staggering. At least fourteen other ward three candidates would seem democratic, this is b.s. Could someone please tell me I'm way off base, I 'd like to hear the other side, frankly I don't see it.
Robert Yorga not running for the third ward.......yet! "I do not teach the uninspired or enlighten the complacent. When I bring out one corner to show people, if they do not come back with the other three, I do not repeat." -Confucius _______________________________________ Minneapolis Issues Forum - A City-focused Civic Discussion - Mn E-Democracy Post messages to: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Subscribe, Unsubscribe, Digest, and more: http://e-democracy.org/mpls
