If I remember correctly, the Minneapolis Urban League and the Minneapolis NAACP had an opportunity to participate on the community representation side of the Federal mediation process. If some officials/ organizations failed to "show up" or, more importantly, failed to get elected to a position on the negotiation team for the community "too bad." I know this is a very difficult situation for every body, however, organizations like the Community Collaborative and Communities United Against Against Police Brutality have worked so, so hard on this piece of Federal mediation and, yes, Ron Edwards as well. Do not, I repeat, do not delay federal mediation because "established organization failed to do their job on serving others." Citizens deserve the best representation that the community has to offer. Those citizens have shown their willingness to work hard on this issue by participation especially, by showing up.
