I wonder if RT and Olson will take heat for this
statement, as did Detroit Mayor Coleman Young in the
70s. When elected, one of the first statements by
Detroit's first African American mayor was to tell
pimps, prostitutes and hoodlums to "hit the road past
8 Mile." {Eight Mile is the road that separates
Detroit from its inner-ring northern suburbs, and was
glorified almost 30 years later by Eminem.} The
suburbanites, who saw Young's statement as an
invitation for crime to enter the suburbs, were
outraged.
