If I lived in the third ward in one of the neighborhoods that is being torn up by the crime problems, I would want someone who at least had clue as to what is was like to live with these problems on a daily basis. I would also want someone who had worked arm in arm as a volunteer to help deal with it.
I know Don Samuels knows his stuff in terms of crime in that area. I also find him "common sense" oriented with a broad understanding of the issues.
