[KB] Assuming his third point is about Republicans, none was elected in
Minneapolis.  It's probably true, however, that a majority of the votes cast
in Minneapolis went to DFLers.

If Mr. Sumner intended to comment about statewide races, only DFLer Mike
Hatch received a majority of the votes (54.64%).  Awada, Kiffmeyer,
Pawlenty, and Coleman* each received less than 50% of the votes, only a
plurality, meaning a majority of votes were against them (for other
candidates).  Just about the same result as in 1998, when _all_ the races
were won with a minority of the votes.
