The Guthrie Theater and co-perpetrators Steve Cramer and Joan Campbell. .......for their underhanded attempt to rip off Minneapolis taxpayers. The foiled deal was for the Guthrie to pay $3 million for 10 acres of prime riverfront land, keep 7 acres for themselves, and sell the extra three acres at market rates ($50 per foot would yield $6.5 million.) NICE Councilmember Lisa Goodman .......for stopping the dirty deal. Note: This is a good example of why it is important to pay attention to the arithmetic of proposed deals that sound good on the surface. "The devil is in the details."
