Sometimes I think that the problem is that people in the community
have been faced with having to go along with what ever comes along.
We have not an effective Black Leader or Leadership here in Minneapolis, or shall I say unless it involves media or some other kind of "High Profile" attention then that's when we have had leaders coming out of the wood work.

I for one am tried of the being pimped, but when you have a community of people looking for help and needing help or assistance, none is to
be found or so little of it is given that not all can be served or helped. You start to feel hopeless, and feel like no one even cares, so why should I.

Then they go away quietly, it is really sad. After this happens "CONSTANTLY" you get to the point where you say just forget about it. The little thing's no one wants to help you with, for fear that you may take the lime light away from the leader looking into the next media event....."Oh My, Lord help us all when CNN comes"....

I always think about those that are supposed to be speaking up for me and being opinionated for me and don't know me, yet they are there for my behalf, but it seems like their own agenda. Too many times people
have came into my community, to help solve problems or create new programming, but, that's only when the camera is rolling or something is needed from the community. Just look at the medation attempt.

After the media is gone and/or people got what they came for there is nothing. Life in my small community goes back to the same ole', same ole' until the next tragic event...
