While it may be true that Moore's campaign manager or staff have not said anything, there have been several very negative postings from Linda Higgins, the State senator for this part of the Northside.  I find it very disturbing that someone so high in the DFL Party would be so disrespectful to not only a candidate, but to a neighbor.  Since most of the voters on the Northside supported Don in the Primary, I would think that she would get the drift that he has a great deal of support on this side of the river.  These are also the people whose votes she will need in the next election.  A word to the wise, Linda.

Subject: [Mpls] Who speaks for Moore?

As far as I know, I haven't read a questionable post by Moore's campaign manager or staff. I don't think think they are plugged in on a regular basis to this forum. Let's not attach the words of supporters, or those who dislike the opposition to the campaign or candidate.

It's a stretch to tie these words to the candidate. Now Martha, as a former campaign manager, I'm sure you wouldn't have wanted a lot people that were supporting your candidate to be thought of as speaking for your campaign, at the time.

The candidates in this campaign have been pretty cordial and stuck to the issues. It's the supporters that are raising eyebrows and that's probably where the criticism should remain focused - on those individual supporters. They are on here and can speak for themselves.

Posts from Jason Goray and Susan Maricle raised a very interesting
question to my mind. Who speaks for Olin Moore?

Generally, I'm a list lurker (and not terribly faithful at that), but
the 3rd ward race is vitally important to the city as a whole. Now that

the primary has distilled an exciting array of candidates down to two,
it seems especially appropriate for campaign spokespersons to identify
themselves upfront. The Samuels campaign seems to have done this with
posts that are challenging but respectful of the candidates and of
democratic debate.

Yet posts from Moore supporters attack Samuels personally. Do these
folks -- Vanessa and Dyna -- speak for the Moore campaign? Does Moore
endorse their views and methods?

ECCO but confident the whole city benefits when candidates everywhere
engage each other and their! consituents.
