Another faulty assumption is that the protest in Uptown consisted of mainly 'kids'. Wrong again. The current anti-war movement is extremely diverse and gathering steam nationally and globally as we speak, without the help of a centrally organized machine. Collaboration pulls these events off; between local and national associations of activists including AFL-CIO, NAACP, National Council of Churches, War Resisters League, ANSWER... the list goes on. Many of these groups have differing agendas and approaches but have managed to unite in resistance to this wasteful war in Iraq.
