EDITORIAL Show the courage to challenge your leaders By: Pauline Thomas Minnesota Spokesman-Recorder Originally posted 1/16/2003
People may ask themselves, What is all this bickering about that is going on within the Black community? Some members of our community apparently believe that we should not speak out against each other in public. Although I do believe in cooperation and cohesiveness in our community whenever possible, I am also reminded how hard we Blacks have fought to get and keep the First Amendment right to speak our minds. Using fear to encourage suppression our ideas and criticisms is an old device that we should not tolerate. http://www.spokesman-recorder.com/news/Article/Article.asp?NewsID=21431&sID=16 Shawn Lewis, Field Neighborhood -- _______________________________________________ Sign-up for your own FREE Personalized E-mail at Mail.com http://www.mail.com/?sr=signup Meet Singles http://corp.mail.com/lavalife _______________________________________ Minneapolis Issues Forum - A City-focused Civic Discussion - Mn E-Democracy Post messages to: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Subscribe, Unsubscribe, Digest, and more: http://e-democracy.org/mpls
