Response to Editorial:
There is a difference between challenging leaders on the issues and making unrelated character assassinations against those we may disagree with. I do agree leaders must be challenged.However, it is my hope that we can raise the quality of communication and improve how we go about the business of serving communities.

People may ask themselves, �What is all this
bickering about that is going on within the
Black community?� Some members of our
community apparently believe that we should
not speak out against each other in
public.
Although I do believe in cooperation and
cohesiveness in our community whenever
possible, I am also reminded how hard we
Blacks have fought to get and keep the
First Amendment right to speak our minds.
Using fear to encourage suppression our
ideas and criticisms is an old device that
we should not tolerate.
