Once again, your campaign has decided to use the "race card." Why is this so? Can the samuels show find any other means to addressing the community besides using the race card?

Don, in your interview a few weeks ago, you said:

"I will use the office as a bully pulpit to encourage African-American men to step up to the plate, come back to the community and be role models," Samuels aid.

I like to know what the magic touch is, that Don has and that others
do not have? There have been others before you that have said the same thing yet the "Bothers and Sisters" have still been left holding the bag. Why do you have to use the office as a bully pit, when you are living and supposedly working already in the neighborhood? We heard the same thing from Brian Herron, and look what that got us.

What experience has Don had that would make him spokesman for the whole black community?, It seems as though you are trying to say, because I'm black and your black, you can be a better advocate for us. I feel like the black community has been exploited enough, by fast talking people of the community. Move on to something that is tangible, something that is real, something that is not motivated by self interest, or a vote. We can see through that stuff.

I said long ago on this list that your campaign has truly made race in issue in this campaign and I am appalled at this tactic. You are no better than the predatory lenders that seemed to make the communities of color a safe haven for doing their dirty deeds. You have said that you are concerned that there is no black police officers on the force, what are you going to do that has not been tried already to recruit persons of color, of "ALL" races? In the beginning of your campaign rhetoric, you said you wanted to work and to bring together, white and black people, now I am hearing you speak out only on the basis black only. What happened?

I think that for one to have received the endorsement from the police
federation, shows that police officers want to work with that person, and since you did not receive this support it is fair to say, they thought Olin Moore would be a better CM. I almost willing to bet that you have yourself tried to receive the endorsement as well. I just can't get over the fact that when your campaign is rejected of anything, then it has to be a race issue. You have to do much better than that.

You and your campaign has worked really hard to down Olin Moore with your accusations and such, But, I have never once heard anything negative about the your campaign coming from Moore camp. It is evident to me, that you are about the same game playing that others had done and tried while running for office.

"Don, stop playing games, this is not some fad, this is life as some of us know it." Stop pointing fingers, and playing the blame game, talk about real issues.
