Your attitude and the likes of people like yourself, make it hard for things to come together for the good of community. Face the truth with what's going on, or is it that you are blinded by the real truth.WM: On this one Pam and I have similar attitudes. Coming together for the good of the community includes forgiving people for their crimes once they've paid the price and moving forward. Brian is a good guy who made a really dumb mistake. The likelihood of him committing another crime is very wee. "For the good of the community" includes allowing people to change their lives and not be criminals henceforth. He has contributed a lot to this community (8th ward) and, unless people shun him and act foolish, he will do so again. He is a role model on a lot of levels, but especially because he admitted he did a crime and paid for it without creating a great hoo-hah. Considering that the crime he admitted to was accepting an FBI bribe through Selwyn Ortega in an FBI sting operation, I have questions about who committed the real crime here.
Ergo, for the good of community, making community and maintaining community, we will welcome him home and I, for one of many, will be happy to see him.
