Grass roots for Samuels

Don Samuels didn't set out to be a
politician. He was just a guy who really
cared about his neighborhood, his
neighbors, kids and social justice.

When the City Council position for
Minneapolis' Third Ward opened up last
November, his neighbors began calling
this community activist, urging him to
run for the position. After serious
soul-searching, Don and his wife, Sondra,
decided that serving on the council would
be a logical extension of what he was
already doing in his neighborhood.
When people heard the news, a huge
grass-roots effort was born. Now ward
residents have the opportunity to elect
someone with authentic experience,
honesty and vision, whose only interest
is to make their part of Minneapolis a
better place to live.
