There's something that really upsets me about this antiwar resolution:
How do proponents know that their resolution is supported by a majority
of the citizens of Minneapolis?  If it is not why, then why should the
council cave in to the demands of a special interest group.  The polls
(if you can believe them) show that a majority of Americans support
the war if the Administration can produce evidence of weapons of
mass destruction. If anti-war activists don't accept this version of 
reality, then why don't they follow my suggestion and present the 
council with a petition signed by Minneapolitans who support a resolution. 

When we opposed the War in Vietnam we went to the people first,
not to the city councils.  That's where the power is...remember?
