The resolution was "returned to author," and the
authors (now including Robert Lilligren and Gary
Schiff) have decided to bring it to the full council.

It will be presented during Committee of the Whole
tomorrow, at the end of the agenda, and the vote will
take place on Friday morning.

It is very likely that the chair will rule the motion
out of order again. It will take 7 votes to overrule
the chair, and I can count 5 solid votes. I would
especially encourage Greens who live in Ward 10 to
call their Council Member (Dan Niziolek, 673-2210). I
am not sure where we will get the seventh vote, but
like I keep saying, if you live in Minneapolis and you
want this to pass, CALL YOUR COUNCIL MEMBER.
673-22(Ward number).

It can't hurt to have people present at the
meeting(s)! Definitely come down if you are able. We
can validate parking in the Haaf ramp, and the 3, 7,
and 16 busses stop right in front of City Hall, 350 S
5th St.

Finally, although I know Greens are ALWAYS polite, I
just want to reiterate the importance of being
respectful to the people taking your calls here at
City Hall. I recently learned that one staffperson's
son is being deployed to the Middle East, and the
resolution calls are making that person even more
stressed out. So be nice, but do call.

If you need any more guidance on how to make your
voice heard, call me.
