IMHO this is a PUBLIC forum and your posts should reflect that. While I don't write a column for a major newspaper and quote statements or e-mails from this list in writing, I have often times referred to posts on the Mpls Issues forum to make points with people and continue to feel free to do so.
It is for this reason people feel so embarrassed when they accidentally post a personal e-mail or response to the list. I know I certainly did in my blunder a couple years ago. I think newspapers and the like should feel free to repost e-mails from this list as they choose to. I think people have the right to be made aware of the fact that their posts are public information when they post here. That can certainly be pointed out when people sign up. I think it's great that the big newspaper reporters read what is said here. I think it's even greater that they quote from the list and participate. That tells me, they think the list is an important source of information. A barometer on the city so to speak. Indeed, it's the only thing that ever has." -- Margaret Mead __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Mail Plus - Powerful. Affordable.
