My hometown of Portland Me just passed its antiwar resolution (on the 2nd try). Another bustling urban center in Maine, Waterville (pop. 15,600), is also considering the following resolution (it doesn't even tie in the war with local concerns but addresses itself directly to foreign policy questions. Who do these people thing they are!):
"Be it resolved: that the United States refrain from any military action against Iraq until; 1) the United Nations inspections currently underway be allowed to be fully completed and reported upon to the Security Council; 2) the President seek and obtain from Congress approval for any considered military action against Iraq; 3) The United States seek and obtain from the United Nations Security Council approval for any considered military action against Iraq."
